The Care Certificate is a set of fifteen generic standards to support the practice of non-registered carers. Because of the generic nature of the standards it can be challenging to appreciate how they apply in maternity.

This module provides additional resources and signposting for Standard 9. Before completing this module it is advisable to complete the module on Introduction to the Care Certificate which explains how to complete the assessments. In addition there are other i-learn modules which support the care certificate and these are listed at the end of this module.

After completing this module you will be able to:

• Identify relevant additional resources to help you complete your Care Certificate
• Establish useful resources and links in your i-folio
• Develop a learning plan for your progress

Study time: 15 minutes for this short module but Care Certificate Standard 9 will take additional time to complete.  Also, the building of your portfolio should be ongoing.
