Reflecting on your learning in i-folio
Where an activity encourages you to reflect on a learning point, right click the my i-folio link at the top of any i-learn page. i-folio will open in a new tab or window in your browser so that you can easily switch between i-learn and i-folio and work with them side-by-side. From the dashboard or front page of i-folio, click the Reflection icon to start your reflective journal. Click on New Entry, give your entry a title and then type in your thoughts into the text box. Click Save Entry when you have finished.
You can either start a new entry for each reflective activity or, alternatively, you can click the pencil icon alongside your original entry to edit or add to it.
You can also have more than one reflective journal so, for example, you could have a journal for i-learn courses and a separate journal for reflection on your practice.
Uploading a document to i-folio
Some i-learn activities may suggest that you save a document to i-folio for future reference. To do this, first save the document to your computer or other device. Then, from any i-learn page, click on my i-folio and go to the Your Files icon in i-folio. Click on the Choose Files button towards the top of the Files page. Double click the item you wish to upload and the new item will show in your files list towards the bottom of the page.
Finding your certificate
All i-learn courses are certificated. To access your certificate you will first need to work through every page of the course and complete any compulsory activities such as quizzes and gain a grade of at least 75%. You will also need to complete the course evaluation. Once you have done this, you will be able to access your certificate. You can either download it to your computer or send it to i-folio. When you send it to i-folio, it will automatically be saved to Your Files where you can access it in a folder called Incoming.
There are a number of i-learn courses which can support you with using i-folio and with reflection. Please note that clicking on any of these will take you away from this course and into the linked course:
* An introduction to i-folio
* An introduction to reflection
* Revalidation: all you need to know
