Managing Change focuses on and explores the various steps that combine to make the management of change more effective. The purpose of this course is to enable you, as someone responsible for implementing change, to identify and enhance the knowledge and skills that you require. It will also help you to reflect on the important issues involved in order to support people who for various reasons may struggle with or resist change.

By the end of the Managing Change module you will have developed an understanding of :

  • the preparation necessary to create a successful start to change
  • how to engage people in the process of change
  • the importance of actively managing stakeholder engagement
  • the role of communication in keeping change visible and relevant
  • the role of change in the midwifery leadership competencies
